The Andrew Michael Blues Band formed in 2024 in British Columbia, Canada, and has quickly established a name for themselves through their presence in the blues and blues rock scene. British-born songwriter and guitarist Andrew Michael Zaghloul, winner of the 2024 Fraser Valley Music Awards Blues Artist of the Year, recruited experienced harmonica player Don Addley, veteran bassist Ronald Johnson and drummer Kevin Rush to form the four-piece group which began crafting their original music and blazing local stages with their high-energy electric performances.
In 2025 the group collaborated with acclaimed producer and engineer Rob Begg (KISS, Tom Petty), formerly of Sunset Sound Studios in Los Angeles, to record their debut self-titled album. Through his original songwriting Andrew Michael expresses classic blues themes of love, lust, hard luck and troubles. These themes are brought forward through soulful vocals, aggressive but passionate electric guitar, gritty harmonica and a pulsing bass and drum rhythm creating music that is memorable and keeps audiences wanting more. In 2025 the band filmed and released the official music video for their blues-rock ballad, Fine Wine.
The 2026 year has brought the Andrew Michael Blues Band into the music festival spotlight with performances alongside Canadian blues legends Russell Jackson and Brandon Isaak at the Camrose Blues Festival, and the Desert Daze Music Festival. The group is now setting their sights on record label representation and continuing their blues journey throughout North America and the globe.
